Hollow Way Road

Preston Hollow, Dallas, Texas
Architect: Don Wheaton; Interior Design Firm: Dallas Design Group

When longtime clients acquired several acres in the prime neighborhood of Preston Hollow on which to build their dream home, they called Waterside Properties. The couple had previously worked with Paul on an extensive remodel of their current home, and later, referred their parents to the home maintenance concierge services (they are now long-term clients, too). With their longtime friendship and family history, Paul could hardly wait to collaborate with them on an estate and tapped a team of architects and designers to map out the couple’s wishes.

At close to 15,000 square feet with only four main bedrooms, the transitional modern home is designed to be unlike any other. Highlights include walk-in wine cellar, LED backlit stone bar tops, glass stair panels, a floor-to-ceiling glass dining room, 28 foot custom light fixture built in Italy tabbed “the fish bowl”, commercial elevator system, a slate roof and brick and stucco exterior textures. “The clients gave us full design freedom and the ability to be creative,” Paul says.

Paul is also assisted the clients by consulting on the architectural design details of their Cabo San Lucas vacation home in Mexico. “It has been exciting to be a part of their lives in numerous ways,” Paul says. “We developed a strong relationship over the years, and we are thrilled to help them ensure they create homes they love. They are friends and clients who have the highest integrity and are a joy to work with.”
