Abbey Woods Lane
Glen Abbey, Dallas, Texas
Architect: CA Nelson Architecture Group LLC; Interior Design: Kerrie Donham; and Landscape Architect: Kevin Clark | Naud Burnett
When one of the top painting contractors in North Texas referred his clients to Waterside, Paul worked closely with the client to select a lot for them in North Dallas’ Glen Abbey neighborhood. After choosing a spot on which to create their dream home — on a scenic golf-course lot — he assembled an all-star cast, including well-known Dallas architect Clay Nelson of C.A. Nelson Architects and landscape architect Kevin Clark of Kevin Clark/Naud Burnett.
“They envisioned a Spanish colonial house with Texas flair,” Paul says. Working in tandem with the clients and the architect/interior design team, Paul created the clients’ inspired spaces and incorporated requested personal interior and exterior details. “The clients brought many personalized elements to the project, from hand-laid brick ceilings resembling an old hacienda to a one-of-a-kind wood and glass entry door produced in Santa Fe, New Mexico, by a well-known artisan,” Paul says.
Other additions included specialty cabinets, light fixtures, flooring, handrails, fireplaces and indoor-outdoor living spaces unique to their taste and lifestyle. “We worked hard to understand the customer’s vision and executed that vision by working side by side,” Paul says. “The end result is a beautiful home.”
